SUPPORT OUR FAMILY

Hello, my name is Kenya, and saving our family's home is a movement to save all homes in the state of Michigan from disaster flood, foreclosure, demolition, or being sold. The state of Michigan has been trying to foreclose on many homes since the economic decline in the U.S. Many are saying that people should be able and efficient to pay their mortgages. The recession has caused many people to lose their jobs and homes. The State of Michigan has a lot of red tape that the working class has to go through with detached objectives in order to get benefits. This is why the current poverty rate in Michigan has risen to 17%.

Today, more than 92,341 people are homeless in Michigan. This is why we cannot become a statistic. We are law abiding citizens who work very hard to maintain our property. We cannot let the lenders just take a home from us because we currently lack unavailable resources. If the government does not help offer more assistance programs for people with homes in Michigan and their homes are put into foreclosure, torn down, or sold, where are these people going to live?

Our Cause

Our fundraising goal is $60,000.00 from generous donations, we hope to save our home from foreclosure and make much needed repairs caused by the flood in April 2013, August 2014, and May 2019. Getting assistance from the nation will assist in ending our foreclosure process and flood damage issues. Additional money raised beyond the cost of saving our home will be donated to many charities in Michigan that are dedicated to helping individual’s dealing with foreclosures, flood hardship, heating centers for the homeless and food for the homeless.
